Vision

The Sherwood Forest Tennis Program develops tennis skills and etiquette to club level play to advanced play. Professional instruction is given on a daily basis and emphasizes fundamentals needed to learn the game of tennis for a lifetime of play.

The Courts

Sherwood Forest has 6 hard courts, two of which are designated for Quick Start Tennis and have the regulation U.S.T.A. blended Quick Start lines. The courts also sport a Grandstand which gives spectators a great vantage point for viewing the courts and play.

Patapsco Valley Junior Tennis League

Sherwood Forest is a member of the PVJTL and is in their River Division which will play five or six matches during the summer. These are played against other tennis clubs in the area which include Chartwell CC, Andover, St. Andrews Tennis & Swim, Severn Valley, Navy, among others. A match consists of 15 overall with age groups starting at 10-12, 13-14, and 15-18 years old. Sherwood Forest has a great record in the Patapsco and is the current champion for 2010.
